Iowa Jazz Composers Orchestra at Kirkwood Community College

The Iowa Jazz Composers Orchestra is filled with all-star musicians from around the state and is dedicated to playing original music by Iowa composers. Led by University of Northern Iowa Professor and award-winning composer Mike Conrad, the IJCO wants to show people in Iowa and beyond that they don’t necessarily have to look to New York City or Chicago for beautiful, high-quality, creative music. There are amazing artists and musicians doing incredible things right here.
The Kirkwood Jazz Ensemble will play an opening set, followed by an unforgettable night of music from this world-class ensemble.
