A few weeks ago I posted about a potential Iowa adventure in Colorado Springs, SAVE THE DATE! Details: a four day gravel adventure in the Colorado Springs region. 1) Rampart Range - 70 miles, 6,000 ft of gain. 2) Gold Camp - 50 miles, 4,000 ft of gain. 3) Phantom Canyon - 65 miles, 5788 ft of gain. 4) Santa Fe trail, Monument gravel - more flat, recovery option.
Lodging will be provided by Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort at special discounts. If you book now, the discount rates will be reflected closer to check in. The current weekend rates for three days would be $400 for a single room, an added $25 a night for multiple occupancy. This includes breakfast, a pool, live music, food trucks, a “bike art festival” that weekend and most importantly, we will have the use of the bike shuttle included (tips accepted). And this also includes local guides who are familiar with the areas and the bike shops in town. We will also do optional dinners at some of the coolest spots in town.
