Invitation to celebrate feast day of St. Jude at Hollywood Parish

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6657 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028, invites the Hollywood community to join a special bilingual (English/Spanish) Mass in celebration of St. Jude Thaddeus Feast Day, on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 7 p.m. Eucharistic Adoration will take place from noon until 6 p.m., followed by a procession around the church’s block at 6:30 p.m. All are encouraged to bring their prayer petitions, which will be placed in a basket in the sanctuary all day and prayed over during the mass. Following the mass, all petitions will be placed at the Altar of St. Jude in the church. St. Jude, one of Jesus’ 12 apostles, is one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church, known as the patron of lost causes. He is depicted with a club or axe, symbolizing the way he died, and with a flame above his head, which refers to Pentecost.
