We cordially invite all local residents and community members to embark on a journey of ecological discovery as we delve into the world of invasive species, with a particular focus on European buckthorn and garlic mustard, and explore the myriad benefits that native pollinator plants offer to our environment. Join us in this enlightening and engaging event designed to deepen our understanding of our local ecosystem and inspire positive action for its preservation.
Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your connection with nature, understand the importance of native plants, and take action to combat invasive species. Together, we can make a positive impact on our local ecosystem and ensure a healthier, more sustainable future for our community. Join us for this enlightening event and be a part of the solution!
There are two events to join (rain or shine):
1. Friday, May 10 from 3-5 pm. Meet in the church parking lot. We will be removing invasive species: garlic mustard and European Buckhorn. Please bring gloves and closed toe shoes. The garlic mustard is great for kids as its easy to pull out.
2. Friday, May 24 from 4-6 pm. We will be planting more that 30 native shrubs as well as removing more invasive species. Please bring gloves and closed toe shoes.
