Intuitive Painting Workshop @ Homestead for Hope

This workshop is part of the On the Canals program, presented free of charge by Stony Point Art Studio, the NYS Canal Corporation, and the NY Power Authority.

Welcome to the Intuitive Painting Workshop! Join us for a fun and creative session where you can let your imagination run wild on canvas. No experience is necessary, all abilities are welcome. Just bring your enthusiasm and an open mind!

Our workshop will occur at Homesteads for Hope

Connect with your inner artist in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Our workshop begins with a meditation to create space in our minds and hearts for creativity amidst the lovely areas adjacent to the Erie Canal and Genesee River

Along the water are views of the city that can inspire our painting experience

Our painting begins with colors and textures applied in acrylic paints to canvas. Each student will be prompted throughout the workshop to add various elements including, color, line, stencil, stamping, and more. There is no need for prior experience in the visual arts, we journey together to create individual pieces, representing who and where we are. Maintaining individuality and self-expression, artist’s paintings evolve naturally with the support of the instructor. The results are beautiful, personal, and original pieces of art to be taken home after the workshop.
