During this class, you will participate in meditative and artistic activities geared toward helping you connect with your intuitive and creative self. The goal is not to produce finished pieces of writing or artwork but rather to engage with writing and art through the core parts of yourself, turning off your inner critic to allow your true vision and voice to come through in whatever way feels more organic in the moment.Students from all levels of writing and arts can benefit from this course as the goal is not to improve at creative skills but rather engage in practices that help you bring your creative self closer to the surface. Activities may include basic meditating, intuitive movement, freewriting, intuitive drawing or painting, automatic writing, collaging, or other low-stakes creative processes. As a Master Reiki Practitioner, I will bring healing reiki energy into our creative circle to support our practice (participants may opt in or out of engaging with that energy), and I may incorporate elements of sound healing with drumming or crystal bowls as you engage in creative or meditative practices.
