Ready to ride the sake wave?
The SSA Introductory Sake Professional course is coming back to Helsinki this fall!
Open to all, from sake enthusiasts who wish to learn more about Japan's national drink, to professionals of the food and beverage industry.
The 4h course covers the following points:
- An introduction to sake production, to learn about the ingredients and their function in brewing
- Some sake history and its place in Japanese culture
- How to serve sake like a pro
- A tasting session to learn the fundamental steps of tasting sake and how to navigate the different designations
After completion, you'll be rewarded with a SSA certificate and an enamel pin.
The Sake Sommelier Association ( @sakesommeliers) is the oldest non-Japanese body to provide formal sake education around the globe.
The course is in english and costs 139€ per person.
Places are limited, and you must be over 18 to take part.
