Introduction to Zentangle with Leslie Raznick

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, meditative, relaxing, and fun way to create structured patterns that become beautiful abstract images. It increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction and stress relief along with an increased sense of personal well-being. For many, Zentangle offers a refuge, a place for self-connection and peace. This introductory Class is a one time workshop lasting 2.5 hours with ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED.

Student Qualifications: The lesson plans are designed for all age groups and abilities. Patterns are created with the 5 elemental strokes: a dot, a line, a C shape, an S shape and an O shape. The Zentangle organization says intro skill level requires simply the ability to write your name, but even differently abled people can create beautiful Zentangle projects.

Student Class Supplies: A mini kit is used in the introductory class and is included in the ticket price. Additional supplies may be purchased through the instructor Leslie Raznick, a Certified Zentangle Teacher.

About the Instructor: I come from a family of artists and I’ve always enjoyed doodling, drawing, painting and crafts. In 2023 I retired, and my schedule opened up so I had more time for fun. I discovered The Zentangle Method. Zentangle offers both freedom and boundaries, the chance to create without erasers, mistakes, or judgment. And most importantly, Zentangle offers the opportunity to connect with your spirit and experience this present moment…deeply and completely. Zentangle gives me a refuge, a place of peace, where my creative energy, focus and joy flow freely. In 2024 I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher and have been teaching this healing form of creative fun in art centers and communities near my home in Coachella Valley.
