Introduction to Youth Work

The training includes different styles so that there is an opportunity to share knowledge and experience and provide new learning and understanding.

The course will cover the following themes:

• Ice-breakers
• History of youth work
• What is youth work?
• What are the issues facing young people?
• What makes the perfect youth worker?
• Types of youth work
• Where youth work can take place
• Safeguarding
• Professional boundaries
• Reflective practice
• Evaluation

Max. 25 participants, 2 per organisation.

Note: lunch is not provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY: This workshop is funded through the NEYA. it is important that you read the cancellation policy.

If you are unable to attend the workshop you, or your line manager, must cancel your booking as soon as possible by emailing: [email protected], cc: [email protected], with name of attendee, and date and title of the workshop.

If a cancellation is not received, you will be classed as a 'no show'. A late cancellation (fewer than five days) or 'no show' will mean that you will not be able to book further North East Youth Alliance training for a period of three months.

Once you have made a booking to attend the workshop, an email will be sent to confirm place.
