Learn how to use fair trade Indian wood blocks in the beautiful setting of The Walled Garden in Little Plumstead. Whether this is your first time using wood blocks or you wish to develop your knowledge and skills, join us for an afternoon creating your own bespoke keepsakes in like minded company. This is an excellent way to unwind and learn a new skill, as no prior experience is needed.We start the afternoon learning how to print on practice paper, card and fabric using a variety of blocks, designs and paint colours. When you are happy with your choices, you can then select items to print and take home with you. You will be supported at each step of the way by Eleanor, the owner of Creative Planet, who is a The Indian Block Print Company certified trainer.
What’s Included:
* Practice fabric
* Stationery items (cards, tags, or paper)
* A large fabric item (choose from a tea towel or tote bag)
* A small fabric item (such as a zip pouch or drawstring bag)
Items can be swapped and additional materials purchased if required. A free coffee or tea, cake and all workshop materials are included in the price.
A donation to The Walled Garden of £10 is suggested payable on the day.
This workshop is suitable for for adults and young people aged 13 and over.
