"As a tenured watercolorist with over 24 years of teaching experience in the Hampton Roads area, I specialize in guiding students through a thoughtful, process-oriented approach to art. My instruction spans graphite drawing, watercolor pencil techniques, traditional watercolor painting, and unique mediums like coffee painting. My goal is always to ensure students not only create beautiful work but also fully understand and embrace the creative process behind it.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching at institutions such as the Adult Learning Center in Virginia Beach, the d’Art Center, Outside the Lines, Jerry’s Artarama, and Tidewater Arts Outreach, in addition to offering private lessons.
