Introduction to Traditional Lampshade Making Techniques

This workshop is designed to give a basic understanding of core skills necessary for Traditional Lampshade making.
You will be shown different shaped frames, fitting elements and tailored techniques for pleated or gathered lampshades.
You will learn how to prepare and bind your frameand to stitch a bias cut cover.
We will look at lining the frame, various trimmings techniques and important trouble shooting.
A fun filled and informative day for beginners or those wishing to refresh or improve their traditional lampshade making skills.
You will need to bring your own frame and fabric.
All other materials are provided.
