Introduction to the Wheel of Consent ®

This is an evening of exploring connection and embodying the experience of consent. All activities may be done singly or with a partner. This is a playful workshop and uses a few simple games in which it is possible to have an experience of consent.

The Wheel of Consent ® began with Betty Martin and the Three Minute Game. As she used this game with clients, she recognized an emerging pattern that became the Wheel of Consent ®. Working with thousands of clients worldwide, she refined this pattern into 4 distinct modalities of giving and receiving: the quadrants. This evening is a taste of that transformational work.

You can participate singly or with a partner.

In the workshops on the Wheel of Consent, the exercises are always optional, and you are free to choose how you want to participate. Watching is full participation.

All exercises take place fully clothed.

The Wheel of Consent ® radically questions our thinking about what it means to give and take / do and receive. It opens new spaces for you to explore these topics within yourself and in your connections with others. You will acquire more agency and critical communications skills.

This is an introductory evening to the Wheel of Consent®. It offers you the opportunity to get a detailed experience with the 3-minute game on which the model of the Wheel of Consent® is based. You will get to know and try out this helpful navigation tool for your relationship with yourself and others.

The evening is for everyone who wants to get to know the Wheel of Consent® and learn more about themselves. This is open and suitable for people of all genders, orientations, and relationship constellations. No previous knowledge is required. You are welcome as an individual, as a couple or with several people.

Even if you already know the Wheel, this evening is an opportunity for you to continue practicing and to delve deeper into your experience.

At no moment is it about doing anything that you do not want to do.

The most important thing is an attitude of open curiosity. In addition:

• Dress comfortably for floor sitting

• Pillows

• A small object to share (This is only for the evening; you will take it home with you)

• Water bottle

We will be meeting in Windsor, CT for this event. The address and arrival details will be sent with the registration confirmation.

Registration cost is $30 - $40. If you feel called to attend and cannot afford it, give me a call and we will work something out. If you register and change your mind, please let me know and I will refund your registration, less the service charge. If you arrive and decide after the welcome and introductions that this is not for you, I will refund your payment less the service fee. There is no refund if you don't show up.

Adam Paulman has been a facilitator of workshops, trainings, festivals, and multi-day events for over 40 years. He is fascinated by group dynamics and the elements that support cohesion and purpose. He is a certified Cuddle Party facilitator and trainer as well as a member of the Cuddle Party board of directors. He is also a certified professional Cuddlist . Adam studied NVC with Marshall Rosenberg and is a ZEGG forum facilitator as well as a veteran of 20 years in public school. It is his greatest joy to assist others to achieve what they didn’t know was possible.

Adam has degrees in Mathematics and Multi-cultural education. San Diego is home, but Adam loves to travel. When he is not facilitating Cuddle Parties and training facilitators, he likes to spend time with his children and grandchildren and play bass guitar.

Adam is a facilitator in training for the Wheel of Consent® and is excited to be presenting it. It has transformed the way he relates to family, friends, lovers, and everyone he meets. We hope you can make it.
