Join us at the Mood Fabrics Showroom in Ponce City Market for a Free Introduction to The Reyburn School of Apparel Patternmaking! Hosted by Apparel Fit Engineer and educator Reyburn Brown, this two-hour interactive event gives new and aspiring patternmakers a clear, approachable entry point into the craft.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Meet & Greet: Connect with fellow creatives, learn about the core principles of patternmaking, and discover why it is the blueprint of modern garment creation.
• Live Demos: Watch two live, real-time demonstrations—first, learning how to draft a foundational skirt, and second, discovering how to copy a garment into a paper pattern using a pair of pants.
• Open Discussion & Q&A: Get answers to your specific questions about fit, drafting, fabric selection, and common beginner challenges.
• Workshop Sneak Peek: Preview finished garment samples and learn about upcoming hands-on workshops, including the Custom-Fit Bucket Hat and the African-Style Men’s Shirt.

What You Need to Bring

• Just yourself and your curiosity! All demonstration tools and materials will be provided on-site. You may want to bring a notebook and pen to jot down tips, fit concepts, and project notes during the live Q&A.
