Training Description
This experiential continuing education workshop introduces clinicians to ethical, intentional, and trauma-
informed ways to incorporate art within therapeutic settings. Participants will explore ethical considerations
related to scope of practice, competence, emotional safety, cultural humility, interpretation of artwork, and
distinctions between using art in counseling and professional art therapy practice.
Through hands-on art making, reflection, discussion, and case examples, participants will gain foundational
understanding of how art can support therapeutic processes while remaining grounded in ethical clinical
care.
