Introduction to substrate strification in ornamental production
About this Event
This will be the first summer learning class during lunchtime. This class will be organized in hybrid, online through ZOOM or in person. This class will introduce you a relatively new technique, substrate stratification, through which you can reduce the use of more expensive commercial substrate by placing appropriate cheaper materials on the bottom of the containers. The primary results of a recent project will be presented to showcase how crops responded to this technique. Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. Registration is required, and the Zoom link will be emailed to those participating online.
