Learn how to screen print using stencils and layering inks to build colour, form and composition
About the course
Join this one day course to learn the fascinating process of screen printing using cut out paper stencils. You will create a series of hand printed art works on paper.
Suitable for beginners, this is an opportunity for play and experimentation with colour and form.
Screen printing with stencils is a flexible and fun process which will open up a world of new options for design and decoration.
All materials will be provided and you’ll be taken step by step through the session by our tutor Jo Rucklidge.

About the tutor
Joanna Rucklidge is a Sheffield-based artist, designer and educator.
Within her practice, she uses a range of printmaking techniques including screenprinting, blockprinting and monoprinting. Her experience will help to guide you through the printmaking process
Jo's own practice involves by collecting, processing, disrupting and articulating visual responses to ‘rubbish’. She often recycles materials for printmaking to minimise resource consumption, reduce costs, and enjoy the unique marks made by pre-used surfaces and objects. By its very nature, printing often involves re-use, repetition and returning resources to be used again.
