About this Event

Did you know there are c. 250 species of solitary bees in the UK, ranging from big hairy footed flower-bees (a similar size to a bumblebee) to mini miners (measuring only 4mm in length) and the tiny blood bee cuckoos.

On this course you will explore their life cycles, nesting sites, and feeding preferences.

You will also learn how to identify some of the common species and families, how to tell if a bee is male or female, and and how you can provide good habitat for them in your garden.
