Introduction to Silver Clay
“Impressions of Summer”
During the course you will create either a pair of earrings and pendant for a necklace using Silver Clay. We will look to nature to inspire us using patterns found in nature and impressions from various items such as seeds, shells and more. You will learn how to create your own moulds to make your impressions.
Silver clay is a unique material consisting of 100% recycled fine silver particles and a non-toxic clay body that binds the silver particles. After you have completed your design and it has dried, you will learn how to burn off the clay binder leaving behind beautiful bright shiny fine silver piece.
This material is a wonderful medium to work in and requires no experience to get started. After the course you will have a good understanding of how to use Silver Clay for future creativity. You will use moulds and textures to impress into the material to create a unique and beautiful piece of jewellery.
What is included?
· Silver clay and all the tools you will need for the day.
· Handout to take home and use for future designing
· Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits.
