About this Event
Led by renowned acting teacher Paul Harvard, this intensive Screen Acting course is open to all professional actors and actors in training.
Develop the skills, knowledge and technique needed to deliver top-level screen performances. The weekly filming sessions will aim to mirror the intensity and discipline of working on set, so you can develop the confidence and resilience needed to deliver great acting performances in front of the camera. For those new to screen acting, key fundamentals such as hitting your mark, continuity and adjusting your performance for different sizes of shot will be explored.
Our approach to screen acting synthesises exercises from some of the greatest practitioners, including Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, Adler, Laban and Katie Mitchell - whilst incorporating practical tips and advice from renowned screen actors and filmmakers.
Actors who have worked at Collective in the last three years have worked in Hollywood films, on Broadway, for the National Theatre, in the West End and in series for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
We are passionate about working with actors from underrepresented groups and we will always seek to break down barriers to access professional actor training. Scholarships are available for those who are facing challenging circumstances. If you want to learn more about how to apply, email [email protected]
