Students will learn how to weave a wool on a 15" Cricket Rigid Heddle loom and weave a beautiful Market Bag
About this Event

Weave your own beautiful artisan CSA bag! Students will learn how to weave on a 15” rigid heddle loom to make a market bag and to set up and weave on the loom. In addition, they will learn to weave a Leno open weave pattern using a pickup sock. The final class includes sewing instructions and use of sewing machines.

Week 1/ July 12th 9-5PM
Introduction – Nancy Wilson & Lost Art Studio demonstration of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Students will choose yarn colors and warp the weaving loom followed by weaving the cloth for the bag. Students will take home the cloth to prepare for the next step of sewing the bag. The weaving looms will be available to finish weaving at Lost Art Studio during the week prior to the second class.
Week 2/July 19th 1-4PM
Students will sew the bag using sewing machines provided.

Ticket price on Eventbrite plus

$15 use of loom and sewing machines

$15 cotton yarn paid to instructor on day of workshop
