Introduction to QM (INTRO2QM) Online Workshop

Learn what QM is and how it can help you deliver on your online promise.

This two-week, facilitated workshop is ideal for those new to QM or considering a QM membership. Explore why QM is widely considered the gold standard in online quality assurance and how its implementation can support a culture of quality from many avenues.

• Course Length: Two weeks (at least 6 hours is required to complete workshop requirements)
• Delivery Mode: Online (Asynchronous)

This facilitated workshop introduces participants to the QM Quality Assurance System. A brief overview of QM is provided, followed by an exploration into the question, “Why QM?”. QM Rubrics and the types of course reviews are introduced. The workshop culminates in the development of a personal plan for continued engagement with Quality Matters.

• New QM members (individual members or faculty/staff affiliated with a member institution)
• Non-members considering QM membership or other involvement with QM

• Identify basic information about Quality Matters.
• Differentiate Quality Matters from other quality assurance options.
• Identify basic information about Quality Matters Rubrics and how they are used to review the design of online and blended courses.
• Distinguish between Quality Matters course review types.
• Select options for continued engagement with Quality Matters.

First, register on this page (ASU Eventbrite.) After you register in Eventbrite and receive confirmation, you must also register at the Quality Matters site in order to participate.

Second, register via the Quality Matters (QM) website (Qualitymatters.org). Click on
"Membership" at the top of the page and login into "MyQM" or sign up for an account and then select "Workshop - Register" and then"Dedicated Training" to find the offering that starts on Monday, January 13th and click "Register" to the left of the proper workshop and session.
EdPlus will pay the $25 fee.
