6-Week Introduction to Creative Printmaking
If you're curious about printmaking and would love to explore a variety of creative techniques, this 6-week course is the perfect place to begin. Designed for beginners, you'll be welcomed into a friendly, relaxed class where you'll learn through demonstration, hands-on practice and plenty of encouragement along the way.
During the course, you'll explore a range of exciting printmaking processes, including:
- Monoprinting
- Creating stamp plates for fabric design
- Traditional lino printing
- Drypoint etching
- Botanical monoprinting (contact printing)
Each session introduces a different printmaking process, giving you the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of materials, tools and creative approaches. You'll create original prints inspired by your own ideas, photographs and the world around you, while building confidence and discovering the unique qualities of each technique. There is plenty of time for individual guidance, allowing you to work at your own pace and enjoy the process of making.
By the end of the six weeks, you'll have a wonderful collection of original prints to take home, as well as your own lino printing block and handmade stamp plates to keep, so you can continue printing and experimenting at home whenever inspiration strikes.
All materials are included in the course fee.
