Content Description:
Introduction to play therapy and counseling children, play therapy skills, setting up a play therapy room and play therapy resources. How to identify the difference between the clinical and non-clinical child population. This workshop will include practical application of the material via role play, video, and experiential activities so that participants will be able to use the play therapy skills they learn in their present work settings.
Learning Objectives
In this workshop you will learn:
Participants will discuss basic play therapy and child therapy skills.
Participants will describe how to structure a play therapy session.
Participants will be able to set up a play therapy room and create a safe place for children to participate in therapy.
