Create your own personal yard art, wall hanging, etc. using a plasma cutter. You will be drawing by hand with a controlled bolt of lightning that cuts thru steel like a knife thru butter!The class includes sheet metal pre-cut into 2’X2’ square and a *custom template. You may also bring your own paper template "if you contact the instructor prior to class to make sure it's feasible to produce in the time allowed."
*Regarding Custom Templates: I have a large library of vector art and can provide almost any beginner-friendly design once I have an idea of your interests (nature, sports, school logos, etc.). I will provide several design options for you to choose from. Once you choose a design, I prepare a printed, pre-cut template which you will trace onto your sheet of steel. Designs requiring more detailed customization will be billed separately at $50/hr.
This course takes place at Liberty Arts Pearl Street studio, participants should be prepared to stand and work in a warehouse setting (no climate control), wear closed toed leather or canvas shoes (sparks can penetrate synthetic material), and long sleeved shirts . If you sunburn easily, wear sunscreen as well.
