An Introduction to Oil Paintings. Learn why artists use oil paints, how to start, set up your station and palette, and finish well.
The lesson will have some theory, a demo, and time for you to do your underpainting. One lesson is not enough time to finish an entire painting, but you will be well on your way. Finally, I will show you how to finish the painting in your own time.
We will be painting fruit, such as apples, for a few reasons. One is that it's an organic shape. So you don't have to draw everything 100% in proportion for it to look great. Fruit is a great way to start, so you can slowly learn how to create an illusion for 3D on a 2D surface.
