Learn to Play Mahjong!

Come join us at The Bistro at Le Chocolate de Bouchard for a afternoon learning to play American Mahjong! In this small group, beginner-friendly lesson, you will learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong. We will walk you through the Charleston, how to read the National Mahjong League Card (NMJL) Card, and the steps to creating a winning hand. Come ready to learn, have fun, and discover why Mahjong will be your new favorite hobby in 2025!

No experience or equipment needed. We will provide all game materials for use during the lesson, instruction guides to take home and suggestions for further learning.

Your ticket does not include beverages; a one-drink minimum purchase is requested during the event. A cafe menu can be found here. If you want to have lunch before the event, the Bistro opens at 11:30 and the menu can be found here. Light refreshments will be served during the lesson.

Important things to note:

• Arrive up to a half hour prior to the event to get your drink and get settled. We will start promptly at 1pm.
• All ticket sales are final. Tickets are transferrable to another player, let us know the name of your replacement if you are unable to come.
• Only tickets sold through Eventbrite will be honored.
