Introduction to LAKEWATCH

Interested in monitoring the water in your community pond?

Come join us at the Lakewood Ranch Library for an exciting event where you'll learn all about LAKEWATCH and how you can get involved. LAKEWATCH is now monitoring ponds and is looking for some volunteers in Manatee County to help sample.

In return for participating as a LAKEWATCH volunteer water sampler, you'll receive:

• A free newsletter subscription
• Free sampling supplies and the use of the provided sampling equipment
• Free training in lake monitoring procedures
• Periodic updates of your monthly data, including an annual report
• Access to experts in lake management who can help with questions
