Introduction to Green Skills, Sustainability and Careers

Join our Introduction to Green Skills course, a 6-week programme running one day a week starting Wednesday 12th November 2025 at Capital City College – Tottenham Centre. This course offers an accessible introduction to the green sector, with no formal assessment.

Each week explores a key area, from domestic retrofit and surveying dwellings to solar and wind energy. Learners will also discover the Mayor’s Green Skills agenda for London, gain insight into employment pathways, and connect with industry professionals.

Through engaging workshops, site tours, and a employer session, you’ll build a strong understanding of the opportunities available in the green economy. The final week wraps up with personalised career advice and guidance to help you take your next steps.

Perfect for anyone curious about sustainability, renewable energy, or green careers, this course provides a supportive starting point to explore future opportunities within the sector with jobs available such as a customer service advisor, or resident liason officer for reputable employers within the sector.

Eligibility (fully funded if you meet criteria):

• British resident
• Aged 19 and Over
• Unemployed or claiming benefits
• If employed, earning under £27,000
• Pre-settled, settled, or indefinite leave to remain with 3+ years UK residency
