This course is for guitar enthusiasts who are interested in cultivating that quintessential flamenco sound in their playing as well as those interested in embarking on serious study of flamenco. We will cover flamenco techniques like Rasgueado, Alzapua and Ligados or Slurs as used in flamenco guitar as well as some basic palos or modes to demonstrate their application.
BYO Acoustic guitar - classical or flamenco - nylon string.
Ability to read music not essential.
Instruction will be aural in addition to weekly handouts.
Not for absolute beginners in Guitar.
This course runs for 5 weeks x 2 hours.
