In this workshop, you will learn all about crystal singing bowls and how to add them as a sound tool that compliments your work with Himalayan singing bowls.

We will be covering:
– the history of crystal bowls and differences between them & Himalayan bowls
– different types of crystal bowls (frosted, quartz, empyrean, alchemy, practitioner, chalice, etc.)
– different types of mallets and which ones work best for you, your body and playing style
– proper playing technique (inviting, singing, one bowl, multiple bowls)
– why & when you would use crystal bowls vs. Himalayan bowls
– Chakras & energy assessment
– using crystal bowls in a 1:1 and group sessions
– beginner music theory (understanding harmony & dissonance)
– beginner healing protocols
– how to take care of your bowls

This course will earn 8 hrs, Yoga Alliance CEUs

About Jen Vu
Jen is a certified sound healer based in Austin, TX. She is a life-long musician who has been playing on big gongs in the back of the symphony since she was 11. Jen has studied sound healing using multiple instruments, and is a faculty member educating sound healers with the Sound Healing Academy International and the Ohm Store Sound School.

In addition to sound, Jen has been teaching & practicing yoga, meditation, reiki & crystal healing for over 15 years. She brings principles from all these practices to integrate play, self-care and good vibes to all her offerings! She is very excited to be coming back to Atma Buti to share sound.
