Join Dr Jami Dixon, for this interactive, hands-on workshop. It’s vitally important that we arm our local communities with the tools and expertise to help them develop their own socially conscious projects. The Foundation for Future London Capacity Building Programme aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and offer networking and partnership opportunities. The programme is designed with an inclusive approach, representing feedback and the needs of participants. The programme will champion inclusivity and wellbeing throughout.

About the session:

Sometimes using traditional impact measurement tools, like surveys, can feel like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. There can be lots of different reasons for this, but for some they just don’t work.Creative methods can be a more inclusive alternative. If your work involves creativity, why not incorporate it into how you evidence impact? This way, it feels like part of the work you’re doing rather than an add-on, and it can encourage more people to get involved. Using creative methods can also help you engage individuals with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and communication styles.

The interactive workshop will cover:

• an introduction to creative methods 

• when they can work well

• challenges to think about

• real life examples of creative methods in practice

By the end of it, you’ll be familiar with what creative methods are and have some ideas about what methods may work in your context. There’ll also be an opportunity for you to share any of your experience and ask questions.

This event is free and open to individuals, organisations and businesses working and living across the local communities in the London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

This ‘Introduction to Creative Evaluation Methods’ workshop is run by Dr Jami Dixon, an Impact and Evaluation Practitioner with over 15 years of experience helping charities and social enterprises use data and evidence as a force for good. 

About the Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund:

In 2020, Foundation for Future London, through funding from Westfield Stratford City, created the Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund - an ambitious five-year programme that aims to invest £10 million into the local communities of Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Waltham Forest. Year 4 of the Westfield East Bank Creative Futures Fund has now opened. With the generous donation from Westfield Stratford City, Year 4 of the fund will continue to provide new jobs, learning, training and educational programmes through the means of arts, culture, innovation, public realm and creative placemaking

This year we are continuing our partnership with Lisa Stepanovic, a series of capacity-building events, starting with pre-application workshops, as part of a 12-month Capacity Building Programme.
