Introduction to Collagraph Printing with Abbie Mooney.
About this Event
In this introduction to Collagraph, you will be guided through the process of layering textures and marks to create unique printing plates that will then be inked up and rolled through a traditional roller press to create a range of original prints.
Collagraph uses a variety of readily available materials so is a perfect way to get started with printmaking using materials you may have at home. Different materials and surface textures hold varying amounts of ink which translate to different tones when printed.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or those who have tried other printmaking processes before as you will be equipped with the skills to combine new and familiar techniques to make artwork that is personal to you.
You will leave the workshop with a selection of handmade prints and your original collagraph plate to resume as you wish.
All materials and equipment included.
Please note - this workshop is suitable for beginners but they must be 18+
