Chocolate; a favourite treat among us, and the perfect gift to show someone you care. But have you ever thought about learning how to make your own?Our next masterclass is the perfect introduction to making your own chocolate treats. Join us on January 29th from 10am-2pm to learn all about working with and making chocolate.
Nadia Williams, a chocolate consultant from Thinking Chocolate, will guide you through this masterclass, simplifying the art of chocolate making and introduce the basics of making your own delicious treats. This is the perfect opportunity to impress your loved ones with a unique homemade gift (perfect for any occassion), or get the building block to starting your own chocolate empire!
On the day you'll sample various chocolates, explore their complex flavours, and learn how to master the tempering process and perfect ganache. You will make a tarte au Chocolat as well as a selection of handmade chocolates including hand cast hearts for Valentines day; piped chocolates; hand rolled; mendiants; palets and hand dipped. At the end you will be able to package your chocolates to give as a gift to someone or keep them all to yourself (we won't judge!).
We'll provide all the ingredients, tools and equipment you need to take part, all you need to do is purchase your ticket and get stuck in! We will also provide some light lunch during the class.
By participating in our events you are directly supporting the work we do with people taking the first steps on their own food journeys, whether this is learning the basics of food hygeine and cooking, or receiving support via our flatpack meals services and community pantries.
