An introduction to calligraphy with a pointed, flexible nib and oblique penholder.Modern Calligraphy has it’s roots in English Roundhand/Copperplate calligraphy.
You will begin this workshop by learning and practicing the fundamental basic strokes that create the miniscule alphabet.
By repeating these calligraphy drills you will quickly be able to connect them together to form words.
Modern calligraphy is a beautiful cursive script and once you feel confident connecting your letters you will start to learn the majuscule alphabet.
You will start learn to mix your own coloured ink and lay out a quote or address an envelope.
