Come join us for Beginner Balboa Dance Classes, where you’ll learn the basics of this smooth and energetic swing dance! No experience or partner needed—just a love for good music and a desire to try something new!

In each of our two-hour weekly sessions, you’ll learn key foundational steps, simple footwork, and partner connection—all at a relaxed pace. Plus, we’ll take a break halfway through to chat, grab a drink, and meet new friends!

Originating in Southern California in the 1930s, Balboa became popular for its fast-paced, close embrace style—perfect for dancing to big band swing music. Today, it’s enjoyed worldwide for its smooth movements and playful footwork, often danced to jazz, swing, and even gypsy jazz music.
