Join Us for the 2026 Introduction to Automated Liquid Handling!

IPI is offering a two-day, hands-on course in Boston, July 23-24, 2026, open to students, researchers, and lab personnel at all levels. Developed by our in-lab automation experts, "Introduction to Automated Liquid Handling" is designed for researchers interested in exploring how automation can support large-scale assay development and scaling needs. Participants will gain practical experience with automated liquid-handling systems and leave with a working understanding of how to design and implement simple automation workflows.

Highlights:

  • Learn core liquid-handling techniques and principles
  • Set up and operate an Opentrons OT-2 liquid handler
  • Create an automated copper sulfate assay using the OT-2 GUI
  • Modify automation workflows with Python for a Bradford assay
  • Tour the IPI's integrated automated system
  • Join a roundtable discussion on automation operation and optimization
