About this Event

Intuitive Fluid Art (Paint Pouring) Workshop

This one-day workshop offers a calm and welcoming space to explore fluid art (also known as paint pouring) — a contemporary abstract painting process where specially prepared liquid acrylic paints are gently poured, tilted and guided across the surface to create flowing, organic patterns.

Rather than using brushes in a traditional way, paint pouring allows colour to move, blend and form natural textures and subtle “cell” patterns on its own.
The process is slow, immersive and intuitive — making it ideal for anyone who wants to relax, let go of control and enjoy the act of creating.

Created for complete beginners and for those returning to creativity, this session invites you to slow down, work with flowing paint and colour, and explore abstraction in a supportive and pressure-free environment.

Workshop date and time
Saturday 16 May — 1.00pm–4.00pm

During the session you will be gently guided through a range of simple and accessible paint pouring techniques. You will learn how to prepare and combine colours, pour and guide the paint, and respond to the movement of the paint as it flows and settles across the surface.

The emphasis is on process rather than perfection.
There is no “right” outcome — you are encouraged to move at your own pace and respond intuitively to what you see and feel as the paint moves.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who would like to step away from expectation and self-comparison, and reconnect with creativity in a way that feels grounded, playful and human.
