About this Event
Using botanics and a variety of flora as inspiration, you’ll explore their shapes and forms in an expressive way. Some relaxed initial sketching and mark making will be used to explore shapes and forms quickly and inspire the ideas for your sculptural pieces. Working and experimenting with clay, you’ll then be guided to create abstract sculptures inspired by them.
The course provides demonstrations of different clay handbuilding techniques with one-to-one support when needed, for you to make bespoke unique pieces.
Being open to creativity is all you will need as this course will provide you with the ability to work imaginatively with clay. By the end of the weekend you will have created a range of pieces and developed the skills to explore nature through sculpture.
This course is suitable for all levels including beginners.
The weekend includes the clay used and firing of your work.
