Introduction to 16mm Filmmaking with the Bolex

Want to learn how to shoot a movie on film? The Bolex 16mm camera is a great way to get started and to learn the basics of working with real film. In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn how to use a Bolex 16mm film camera. Topics will include:

• an overview of 16mm cinematography basics
• loading and unloading a Bolex
• how to operate a Bolex
• how to use a light meter
• how to shoot at different frame rates (including stop-motion!)
• the basics of using your body to stabilize your camera
