Come along and learn about Buddhism & Buddhist Meditation. We are a group that meets weekly and we wanted to put on an event focused on Newcomers. You may be familiar with meditation; perhaps you meditate on your own or you practice with a different Buddhist group (We are part of the Triratna Buddhist Community). Either way you are welcome to join us for the day to introduce you to Buddhism and to two of our main meditations; Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (loving kindness).
Chairs will be available on the day to meditate. There will be a small number of meditation cushions to try out. If you are a regular meditator then you are welcome to bring along whatever you use.
There is no charge for this event. We ask for a donation if people are able in order to cover the cost of the room hire but we don't want the cost to stop people accessing the Dharma (Buddhist teachings).
The day will be led by Anantamati (female order member) and the team.
We will have lunch together to please bring some vegan/vegetarian food to share.
