This course, led by studio owner, Kara Sweney, is designed for absolute beginners to yoga, who may never have stepped foot on a yoga mat, or into a studio before.
We meet on six consecutive Mondays from 715-825pm. The course aims to introduce you to a studio environment, the terminology, tools and the fundamentals of the practice of Yoga - basic postures and movement and the importance of breath. We want to "break the ice" on Yoga for you and equip you with the knowledge and some confidence to join the classes on our timetable.
Whilst we work hard to make our studio environment and approach as welcoming as possible, often going to a yoga class for the first time can be a little intimidating so we hope to provide you with an accessible and comfortable introduction to what could be a life changing new practice. It will be a physical based course to allow you to experience the practice and “try it on for size”.
You do not need any experience or any special clothes or equipment. We have everything you need and you can practice in any comfortable clothing that you move about in.
