• Over 2 hours of hands-on instruction with an opportunity to ride with both instructors over several obstacles.
Sarah, a professional horse trainer in San Diego since the 80's (sunhilltraining.com), has immersed herself in the sport of Working Equitation since its arrival in San Diego. She is a USAWE "r" Judge, A USAWE Licensed Technical Delegate, a USAWE Professional Instructor Candidate, and the current USAWE #1 Rider in the Nation at the Advanced Level. She loves to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of this sport! In addition, she is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, a USDF "L" Graduate "with Distinction", and she holds countless Championships and wins in many riding disciplines up to the National Level. With decades of learning from Portuguese Classical Dressage Masters, she blends her classical dressage roots into this wonderful sport of Working Equitation.
Matt French is a distinguished natural horseman with a profound expertise in horsemanship, supported by a lifetime of riding, teaching, and training horses. He is dedicated to helping riders build strong, communicative relationships with their horses. Prior to founding his training business in San Diego, Matt spent over a decade training horses and educating riders. He also honed his skills during his tenure at Medieval Times, where he trained under Javier Romero from Majorca, Spain. With a unique blend of natural horsemanship and dressage, Matt's interdisciplinary approach offers a comprehensive foundation for riders of all levels.
