Intro to Welding

Join us for a quick and dirty intro to 2 basic styles of welding! We will use the MIG machine that you can check out from the library, and we will have an additional machine (not available for checkout) to demonstrate stick. By the end of this class, you can confidently check out our MIG machine and practice at home (your welds will NOT be pretty at the end of this class, practice makes perfect!).

S AFETY: We can provide safety glasses and welding helmets, but it is important for YOU to bring 100% natural fiber long sleeved shirt and pants, and close-toed shoes! Welding is very bright and can not only blind you but give you sunburn, in addition to burns from flying metal blobs or potential electric hazards. You will be required to sign a waiver to participate. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
