Intro to Studio Photography Workshop at Locust Street Art

Take photos like a pro! Learning how to take photos in a studio setting is one of the best ways to up your photography skills. This workshop will go over all of the basic elements of studio photography, inlcuding lighting, backdrops, tripods, composition, and more!

Don’t have a camera? Learn on one of ours! All material costs are included in the price of registration. Additionally, you'll be able to use our digital photography lab to transfer your photos. Nick Butler has been teaching photography at Locust Street Art since 2021. A graduate of SUNY Buffalo State's Photography department, He studied with professors Les Krims and Jim Sylvia and University photographer Bruce Fox. His academic honors include Best of Show in the Best of SUNY Exhibition, a Summer Research Fellowship Grant and numerous awards in national college photography contests. Nick has also taught photography workshops at Jamestown Community College, and his work has been on display in numerous galleries in and around Buffalo, NY.

Locust Street Art is located in a historic building with about nine steps to get into the building. We are currently fundraising to make our building more accessible.
