Live in-person Standup Comedy 101 class —designed especially for women, non-binary folks, and other “others”— brought to you by GOLD Comedy and The Tiny Cupboard.
This course is the fastest and funniest way to get the BASIC TOOLS AND SKILLS you need to find your funny and write jokes unique and original to you. Whether doing standup is your dreamiest dream or you're just standup comedy-curious, these essential skills transfer to other types of comedy, other kinds of writing, and other parts of LIFE.
— WHO THIS IS FOR: Folks who want to learn joke writing mechanics AND figure out what makes THEM funny. Put the two together, with practice and support, and you get: COMEDY. This class is designed to be especially safe for women, non-binary folks, and others outside the gender/comedy norm.

—YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Elsa Eli Waithe, lead instructor at GOLD Comedy, who has appeared on MTV, BET, This American Life, and more. Elsa Eli has taught hundreds of women and non-binary folks to write smart, authentic jokes that only they can tell.
