Intro to Special Education - IEP/IFSP (Virtual)

Join the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) for an informative virtual workshop designed to help military families better understand the special education process and their child’s rights. This session, presented by USMC EFMP Attorney Karen Taylor, will provide a comprehensive overview of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), including eligibility, development, services, and how these plans support children with special needs.

Families will learn how to actively participate in meetings, advocate effectively for appropriate supports, and navigate the special education system with confidence. This workshop is ideal for parents new to special education as well as those seeking a clearer understanding of their child’s educational services.
