About this Event
Intro to Sketchbooking
Sara Cole, BFA, MFA
Introduction to Sketchbooking is an introductory workshop on the tools, philosophies, and techniques of becoming a great sketchbook artist.
In Introduction to Sketchbooking taught by Sara Cole at Visual Philosophy Studio, students will embark on an enlightening voyage of self-discovery and transformational creativity while exploring the wide array of content and design options in sketchbooking. Join Sara, as you navigate the realms of artistic expression together, where your creative journey takes center stage, and the sketchbook becomes a vessel for your own personal narrative.
As your guide on this introspective journey, Sara will lead participants through the transformative process of sketchbooking, unraveling and pushing past the mysteries of artist's fears (like the "fear of the blank white page", "fear of making mistakes or failures", "the fear of making mistakes around others" ) and paving the way for fearless creation.
Discover the art of using graphite, pen & ink, collage, and watercolor as tools for personal metamorphosis. Through intentional practice, you'll sharpen your abilities, gaining not only technical skills but also a renewed sense of confidence in your artistic voice. This workshop is perfect for the beginner to the advanced artist. No previous drawing experience necessary.
