Intro to Shinrin Yoku-Forest Bathing

Intro to Shinrin Yoku-Forest Bathing from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Shinrin Yoku, a Japanese practice known as “Forest Bathing” is different than taking a hike. It is spending time in nature with a slower, intentional focus and connecting with it through our sense of sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. Join LEC staff as we take a walk out to the small wetland of Lyonia Preserve. We’ll spend some time in our outdoor classroom learning ways to decompress and improve our health by focusing on the simple things in nature. Participants should dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes and bring water. This program is recommended for ages 12 and up.
