Shibori is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique known for its deep blue patterns created with indigo. In this hands-on class, you'll explore various folding, binding, and clamping methods to produce intricate designs on fabric, along with essential fabric preparation techniques.Class will cover how to set up and use a synthetic indigo dye vat, as well as how to achieve similar results with fiber-reactive dyes.
Participants will take their project home to continue batching and rinse them once the desired depth of color is reached.
